BURLINGTON, Mass. (January 10, 2005) – SofCheck, Inc., an independent provider of software analysis and verification technology, today announced that it recently secured its first round of outside private equity funding. The company, which has been self-funded during its first two years of operation, has raised $750,000 from outside investors, to be used in the completion of the development cycle of SofCheck Inspector™, the company’s advanced static error detection software. In addition, the company will expand its business development initiatives in support of the new product.

During the past year, SofCheck has enhanced its management team with the addition of Joe Nedder as CEO and Steve Clairmont as senior vice president, sales & strategic alliances; grown its advisory board with the addition of Joe Caruso; and executed successful pilot tests of SofCheck Inspector in key market segments.

The participants and the terms of this private funding round were not disclosed.
